How to Create a Birthday Wall with Photos
I’ve seen this number wall from customers and on Pinterest, but I’ve never actually put one together until now and it’s so much easier than it looks! This is a fun idea for a birthday, anniversary, or event!
Here’s how I put it together …
- Ordered 130 4×4 Press Prints @ 35¢ each. Arrived within 3-5 days.
- I used blue painters tape to avoid tearing off the paint when taking them down. Rolled a piece of tape onto the back of each print.
- Total time: 15 minutes
Mixed the old with the new, it’s crazy to see how much we change over time! Mark turned 48 this year. Along with current photos, I found old photos of him and snapped pics of them with my phone (no scanner needed!) Persnickety Press prints are printed on 300 gsm thick papers. I chose the basic smooth matte for this project and used about 130 photos to create the number 48 (just 35¢ each when ordering over 100!).
I measured the wall and put a piece of tape in the middle. I started the number 4 on the left of middle and the number 8 on the right of the middle marker. I slapped it together in one try, which is amazing for my O.C.D. / Persnickety personality. 🙂
Total Time: 15 Minutes
Mark loves it! Friends and family couldn’t get enough of the photos and stories they tell!
Once the Birthday Boy’s week is over, I’ll take them down and add them to our family photo album. It’s a win-win!

This project was so much easier than I thought it would be! Create a folder on your phone and/or desktop, gather the digital photos, upload the entire folder to your Persnickety Prints account (no app needed!), select all, then choose 3×3 or 4×4 press prints (4×4 photographic prints work too!). That’s it!
