About Us

As a young child, Persnickety founder Chari Pack found joy in documenting life through photos. Babysitting money was always used for film and developing. In the 5th grade, she took it upon herself to publish a DIY style yearbook by gluing highlight photos she’d taken throughout the year with her 110 camera. She sold the yearbook for $2.50.

In 2007, and 3 small boys later, Chari embraced digital imaging and learned photoshop in an attempt to document her families memories.

Chari would design 12×12 “scrapbook” pages in photoshop, but could not find quality prints that were affordable. After her long search, she saw a need and created her own.

In 2010, Chari Pack wasn’t happy with the print quality she was receiving from big box companies.

Quality, Price, and the archival nature of a photograph were important to her. With a passion for storytelling and the desire to save photos in a digital age, Chari self-funded Persnickety Prints and has grown it to be one of the leading online photo printing companies.

Ranked as one of the fastest-growing Utah companies and recently listed in Forbes Next 1000, Chari continues to focus on providing archival prints and superb service always advocating for the customer.

Chari built her brick & mortar store with her own money & the love of quality photos. Photo labs were closing in 2009, but she saw the vision and took advantage of the economic crisis by buying up used fixtures, like this customer service desk from the local Borders Bookstore before it closed its doors. This desk has had 2 facelifts since its inception with its latest, reclaimed wood.

At the end of the day, success for Chari and the Persnickety Team is a happy customer. The PP focus is quality, service, and speed. Customers are our friends, not an order number. Orders are never printed on “auto”.

“We handcraft every order as to not miss any of the fine details,” says Chari. “We are Persnickety in our work and understand the value of a memory.”

Chari is now solving the problem of smartphone photo overload with the recent launch of her new app, Persnickety Box. The easiest solution to giving your photos a heartbeat with 4×4″ silver-halide photographs delivered in a keepsake story box. The best part? No uploading required, swipe photos like Tinder, it’s interactive and fun!

Persnickety Prints and Persnickety Box are female-founded and independently operated.
