6 years ago, I created a singing Family Christmas Card using a QR code. In 2014 nobody seemed to know what a QR code was.
Thanks to a contactless new norm, the general population knows how to use a QR code now! The Persnickety team combined creative talents to create a musical Christmas Card and I’m here to share HOW.
This is a fun idea for any occasion using audio! A bark from a pup, the love from a toddler, a message from Grandma or Grandpa, a marketing blip or a beautiful song can be added to a card using Soundcloud and a QR code.
We wanted this one to be light and fun. Madi ordered this cheesy 80’s backdrop from Amazon, set up a tripod and jumped in the photo with our quality control team wearing ugly Christmas sweaters.
Our team photo is square, I found a double sided card design that fit the photo. The backside of this card design includes 3 additional photo placeholders, I deleted them and added the QR code + text instead. (most of our cards are completely customizable)
That’s it! From the photo to the song recording, we had this all put together in less than an hour! Obviously we aren’t all given musical talents, nor did we practice. Our card is cheesy, silly and meant to put a smile on faces. This would be a great idea for a New Years card!
We wish you a covid Christmas We wish you a covid Christmas We wish you a covid Christmas and a healthy new year Fun cards we send to you and your fam We wish you a covid Christmas and a healthy new year Oh, bring back the old normal Oh, bring back the old normal Oh, bring back the old normal Before covid came We wish all of you well with your quarantine We wish you a covid Christmas and a healthy new year These masks are hot and sweaty These masks are hot and sweaty These masks are hot and sweaty I want it off now!
