Scrapbooking with the 3×4 Retro Prints
Hello again, my wonderful and crafty friends! I want to share a scrapbook layout with you today, that uses one of my favorite collections from American Crafts, Oh Happy Life, and my new favorite photographic prints from Persnickety Prints. For the longest time I’ve been printing my photos at home with expensive inks and cheap paper. I love my printer dearly, but it’s been acting up lately with random jams here and there and mysterious black smudges at the bottom of most prints. I’ve spent hours deciphering the problem based on the flash count, and how to work around the issues and honestly I’m just done.
I’m going to keep my printer, but it’s time to send my pictures off to get developed by the professionals! That’s where Persnickety Prints comes in. I’ve now placed three orders with them and the quality of the prints and the turn around time is really wonderful and so fast! The longest I’ve had to wait is four days and that was because I placed my order on a Saturday.
For this layout, I wanted to document a fun Halloween baking project that the kiddos and I tackled in October. I knew I wanted all three photos on the page, so I thought I would give the 3×4 retro prints a try. These little prints are just so cute and perfect for scrapbooking. I love that they can fit seamlessly in a 3×4 pocket page layout, but they are just as great for a traditional layout like this one. The extra white space is perfect for adding stamps, embellishments or stickers and the small size really lets you tell a much bigger story with your photos.
I paired the prints with all the gorgeous bits and pieces from the American Crafts, Oh Happy Life Collection by Amy Tangerine and I just love how this layout came together. The white border on the prints play beautifully with the white die-cuts and foam Thickers from the collection. And I just love how those transparent script stickers pop right off the white border. It really is a relief to simply grab the photos you need from your stack and start creating. No more uneven trimmer edges, black smudges or paper jams for this crafter!
